Artist Statement
I have been a fine artist for over thirty years. I have worked with a variety of mediums with the intention of translating my ideas onto the canvas. As a perfectionist, to the point of being obsessive, I work on a series of paintings until I feel I have reached the goals I set for myself. Then I move on to another series. Authenticity is very important to me.
Inspiration for a series draws on life experiences, nature, environments or emotions. Because my art is so often personal, I try to engage with viewers through color, shape and design. It is important to me that viewers have a dialogue with my work.
Art is a way to add another dimension to our lives through variety, beauty and connection to the spiritual and abstract. I love that I can be part of this process.
